Very first touch with Football
Influenced by his father Alex began playing football with age of 7
Chasing his dream in Germany
Upon his entry to the youth team of 1. FC Köln, Alex participated in the highest youth league in Germany until 2005
Signing his first professional contract
Alex returned to Korea after seeing limited
chance to become professional player in
Germany and joined Incheon United FC
Cancellation of his contract
After only one season at IUFC, Alex was released. Severe ankle injury set him out for the most part of season and he came to only
7 matches in the reserve team matches.
Oklahoma City University (Major: Political Science)
After unsuccessful attempts to find a new team, Alex chose to travel to the US for a chance to be a student athlete.

Upon his graduation, Alex decided to continue his academic career and began his masters program in public administration.

Alex joined Seongnam FC, where he worked in the front office. He served a director position in youth development and international affairs.

Having gained practical experience at Seongnam FC, Alex decides to continue his academic career, in which he devotes to know more about the values of sport through in-depth analysis of a concept 'sport for development'.
